I grew up in Northcote and am happy to be back in the area of our wonderful Kaipatiki community now I have three kids. I have loved the toy library since joining when my first child was little. I started helping with grant applications a few years ago and now am very proud to Chair our wonderful Committee, which is comprised entirely of busy parents who give up their time to give back to the library. The Library was established in 1997 and I hope that our committee can ensure the successful running of the library for another 26+ years.
I was born in South Korea and raised in Hillcrest from 2002. I joined the Toy Library in 2021. It is the perfect way to show my little girl caring and sharing toys with others. I am happy to support this wonderful community.
I love being a member of the toy library and helping to keep waste down (as well as the clutter in my house!). It was for this reason, that when I was approached to join the committee, I accepted and started to look after memberships and parent volunteering / duties. I am proud to be part of the current project by the committee to refresh our cupboards and make the space more inviting.
I''m so happy to be a mom to a wonderful and energic 6-year-old daughter! For more than 5 years, I''ve been involved as a toy librarian and part of various toy library committees :) I absolutely adore the idea of toy libraries and I''m super passionate about spreading the word about them. Every family should have a toy library membership because it''s a win-win situation! Not only do you get to help the planet, but your kids also get to try out tons of awesome toys. Plus, it''s a great way for families to save some money too!
